  Martin Marty
Dr. Martin Marty: 2007 Lilly Center Colloquium Speaker
Martin Marty is COMING!

According to Time magazine, Dr. Martin Marty is the "most influential interpreter of religion" in the country today. He will make an appearance on our very own Catawba College campus on February 27th. Dr. Marty will be making presentations at 11:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. (Community Forum). Students are encouraged to attend the 11:00 a.m. because his presentation will be specifically be geared towards college students.

Dr. Marty is the Fairfax M. Cone Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Chicago, has written over 50 books and is a very popular speaker on college and university campuses. We are very fortunate to be able to have him at Catawba. While much of his work has been in the area of church history, he really addresses all aspects of religion and society.   FULL STORY »

Dorm Room Devotions

Compiled by Jim Hampton
The college professors who have written Dorm Room Devotions understand what it's like for you as a college student. Because they know the world of problems, challenges, opportunities, and excitement you're about to enter, they have pooled their collective wisdom to offer inspiration and thought-provoking advice. Drawing upon Scripture, theology, and life experiences, they offer sound guidance on the college experience.

If you are interested in checking this book out, come by the The Lilly Center Coffeehouse Library, which is located underneath the Chapel.
