The Lilly Center for Vocation and Values was born from a major grant to Catawba College from the Lilly Endowment, Inc.

In 2003, Catawba College became one of 39 colleges and universities around the country to receive a major grant from the Lilly Endowment,Inc. With funds from that grant, Catawba College founded the Lilly Center for Vocation and Value.

In the summer of 2006, Catawba College received a $500,00 renewal grant. The new grant will allow Catawba to build upon and extend the many successful programs and retreats already in place.
